Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information ENGINPILOT INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED ("ENGINPILOT", "we") collects through enginpilot.com and the ENGINPILOT platform, why we collect it, and the choices available to you. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
1. Scope
This policy covers the public website and the platform's account and support surfaces. It does not cover the engineering data a customer loads into a deployment of ENGINPILOT; that is governed by the agreement with the customer and is addressed in section 5.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit the access-request form we collect your name, work email address, company, job title, industry, interest type and any free-text context you include. When you contact us by email we retain that correspondence.
Information collected automatically. Our servers record standard request logs — IP address, user agent, referring page, timestamp — for security and reliability purposes. If you consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages are read; IP anonymisation is enabled, and Google processes the data under its data processing terms. GA4 cookies are loaded only after you accept the consent banner. See the cookie policy for the full list.
What we do not collect. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not require an email address to read any research publication.
3. How we use it
To respond to your enquiry; to arrange and conduct technical evaluations; to provide and secure the platform; to meet legal, accounting and audit obligations; and to improve the site's content. We do not use access-request details to add you to a marketing sequence without a separate, explicit opt-in.
4. Legal bases
Where the GDPR or comparable law applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the platform and evaluations), legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries, securing our systems), consent (any optional communications, withdrawable at any time), and legal obligation (statutory record-keeping). Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process personal data for the specified lawful purpose for which it was provided.
5. Customer engineering data
Engineering documents, asset records, telemetry and decision records loaded into a customer deployment are processed by us as a processor on that customer's instructions. They are not used to train general-purpose models, are not shared between customers, and remain within the deployment's configured region. Single-tenant private deployment is available where data must not leave the customer boundary at all.
6. Sharing and processors
We share personal information only with service providers acting on our instructions under written contract — cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics and business-records systems — and where required by law. Where you consent to analytics, page-view data is processed by Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics 4) under its data processing terms; IP anonymisation is enabled and the data is not used for advertising. Google may transfer data to the United States under applicable transfer mechanisms (Standard Contractual Clauses). A current list of sub-processors is available on request to privacy@enginpilot.com. We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention
Access-request records are retained for 24 months from last contact, then deleted. Server logs are retained for 90 days. Contractual and accounting records are retained for the period required by Indian law. Customer engineering data is retained per the customer agreement and deleted or returned on termination.
8. Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access with review, audit logging on administrative actions, and an architecture in which platform integration with operational technology is read-only across a defined boundary. Suspected vulnerabilities can be reported to security@enginpilot.com; we acknowledge reports within two working days.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, and withdrawal of consent. Write to privacy@enginpilot.com; we respond within 30 days. If you are dissatisfied you may complain to your supervisory authority, or in India to the Data Protection Board.
